Launched!

It is with great pride and joy, that I can now introduce you to the new Music Audio Stories website!

 musicaudiostories.com

As I mentioned in my previous blog post, I've been working hard for the last few months, on a fresh new website! With new logos, Key Illustrations, artwork, and new content, the relaunched website really pops! I've been very happy with the feedback it has had so far. I'm also super excited to announce that I have opened my own Etsy shop! I'll be adding my new products, including audiobooks, Storytime Packages, and other cute gifts one by one each week.

I was thinking about Music Audio Stories this week... I began it as a hobby a few years ago and the hobby has turned into a business! Not just a business, a passion of mine! It's something that merges everything I love, from audio production and composing music and songs, to storytelling and children's books. I feel so lucky that at a time where many businesses are ending, I feel I'm still at the beginning with mine! I have many ideas and big plans for the future of this company.

As Music Audio Stories becomes more demanding on my time and energy, I will need to be more focused than I've ever been before. I will no longer be on Facebook. Instead, I will be posting on Twitter, and YouTube, and when I have time, Instagram. Make sure you are following me on these platforms so you don't miss my fun news! :-)

I hope the restrictions are not keeping you all from having fun in the week leading up to Christmas!

Exciting News!

I'm super excited to announce that next month, my company Music Audio Stories will be launching a brand new website! And as if that wasn't exciting enough, I will also be launching a set of audiobooks to go with the vibrant, fun new look!

Music Audio Stories new website coming soon!

I have been working very hard on bringing you a fun and easy to use website to discover my world of musical stories! I have created a colourful fresh look and feel, complete with new logos, Key Illustrations, and artwork. All of the pages on the website have been updated and I have added a new gallery and 'Get Involved' page which shows you how you can get your kids involved with my interactive activities and artwork submission. You will love the Music Audio Stories design revamp!

To go along-side the launch of my new website, I am releasing a series of audiobooks, merging Storytime with Anna Christina and Music Audio Stories! I have given my new products a lot of thought...

Given our current situation with COVID-19, I have had to stop my Storytime events. This has made me feel very sad indeed as I loved my workshops with the children and families at libraries and other public events! And so, I have decided to focus my attention online and find new and exciting ways to bring my Storytime into your homes.

My new set of audiobooks features introductions by me and super cute new cover artwork. I am releasing these audiobooks as part of a series called Storytime with Anna Christina Volume One. I will be posting more detailed information next month...

Music Audio Stories is evolving, and with that evolution comes change. And what better way to show this than with an awesome new look! I've had fun working together with a group of extremely talented artists, creating a high quality look for Music Audio Stories. Only the best for my loyal followers!

I am buzzing with energy and ideas and I can't wait to reveal them all to you over the next few months!

Watch this space...

Transformational Times

If you follow me on social media, you will know that I took some time out from it since May. My journey into inner reflection and solitude has rejuvenated my spirit and left me feeling inspired and ready for the next stage of my journey...

I used the time to dive deep into my studio and focus on some important projects I have not been able to get done!
I spent my days writing, composing, and recording. I also enjoyed yoga, exercising, reading, baking, and creating musical things!

These are transformational times and my business, Music Audio Stories, is also transforming. BIG time! I'm currently working on the release of my first Music Audio Stories EP as well as rebranding the company.  Its taken some time to bring all my ideas together but it's finally beginning to all take shape and I can't wait for the launch of my new website! I will keep you updated on all the new and exciting developments and releases...

I hope you are all finding ways of adapting and thriving in these strange days!

Lockdown in London

Since my last blog post, the world has changed dramatically! One by one, countries went into Lockdown as the Coronavirus rapidly swept across the planet causing devastation and chaos. Lockdown in London has left the city, like most, looking like a ghost town. Our reality has changed and we are faced with adjusting to a very different way of life. Social distancing, face masks, and isolation have become the norm. I'm not going to highlight the pain here, we all know the horrible scenes we have witnessed taking place around the world. Yet through this time of crisis, moments of hope and joy as we see acts of kindness and love displayed all around us. From clapping for carers and the NHS, to messages of support and uplifting stories, all providing evidence that the human spirit is alive and kicking.

As for me, it has not been difficult to self-isolate. In fact, just before Lockdown, I had already decided to upgrade my studio and this has been my main focus for the last few weeks. It has taken me longer than I would have thought but I needed time to research everything from buying a new computer, interface, and orchestra library to repainting and reorganising my studio equipment and set-up. There were a few little hiccups along the way and I have learned a lot but it has been worth it. Next week, I'll be powering up my new studio for the first time and I can't wait to play with my new toys! :-)

As for my business Music Audio Stories, like many other businesses out there, we have had to get creative! We launched Kids Stay At Home at the end of March. I created fun freebies, including a free audiobook, to help parents entertain and teach their children at home. Unfortunately, all of my Storytime events have been cancelled but now that I have my studio up and running, I will be working on creating new fun stories again!

I have also been exercising a lot, practicing tennis on any wall I can find, and learning Qigong Tai Chi and other forms of Yoga. Isn't YouTube amazing!

Wherever you are, whoever you are with, or not with, find comfort in the fact that we are not alone. We are together in these strange days and we will get through this. Keep your chin up and keep smiling.

Listen to the silence
It has much to teach us
Alone and still
We can't bend water to our will
But we can remain in our power
Upon muddy water, like the lotus flower
And send out a ripple of love
Below, around, and above

As we enter into March and the promise of warmer weather, I have begun thinking about Storytime events! I'm thrilled to announce I have been invited back to this year's Brompton Annual Open Day! Last year, I had so much fun at this lovely community event and Storytime in the beautiful chapel with the children was magical! I am really looking forward to being back there again this year! This month, I am also remodelling and upgrading my studio which is super exciting!

Marching on in March...

Into The Vortex

It has been a while since my last blog post and a lot has happened! I feel like this is a significant point in time, both in my career and in my personal life. Recently, I have been spending a lot of time in nature finding inspiration, writing, and gaining clarity. Mystification is simple; clarity is the hardest thing of all. It's a lack of clarity that creates chaos and frustration. If you find you are searching for clarity in any situation, try going into nature and you may find the answers to the questions you seek.

From nature, we learn, that everything grows and flows. Nothing is still, it's ever-moving, ever transforming. Ever hopeful. It's important to stay connected with yourself and to understand that you too are always transforming. Change can be painful but it's part of life. I am learning to embrace it!

After several weeks in the wilderness, I returned to civilisation with fresh ideas and new stories! In fact, my first audiobook of the year is already in the making! This is my 17th Music Audio Story and one I have wanted to write for a long time. It's about bookworms and I am going to dedicate it to the wonderful libraries I visit with my Storytime! Being in nature is the perfect place to find inspiration for my animal characters and this new story is one of my best! With my pen, I'll take over the WORLD! Ugh! Has anyone seen my pen?

This month, I was back in the studio working on the production of my new audiobook and rehearsing with David Ryder Prangley, who has just released his solo album! I'm so proud to be part of such a fantastic record with so many other talented musicians. Working with these guys really is amazing! Check out the album here: Black Magic & True Love.

I have more news but for now, don't look down, don't look back.
Look forward, look up.
